- Camping equipment (plan for all weathers!)
- PLATE, CUP, CUTLERY and POTS (essential!)
- Yummy Food for you and to share

All Ireland Permaculture Gathering is happy to be partnering with Leave No Trace Ireland!
Leave No Trace Ireland aims to promote and inspire responsible outdoor recreation through education, research and partnerships. Leave No Trace Ireland began in 2004 as a concerted effort across a range of recreational and land-managing bodies to address the increasing burden of negative impacts on the mountains.  Today, Leave No Trace Ireland exists as a not-for-profit company run by volunteers and employing one part-time person.

At the heart of Leave No Trace is an educational message that encourages us as recreational users to understand the consequences of our actions, and challenges us to make good choices when we do our activities in the outdoors. The Leave No Trace programme uses a framework of seven principles to guide us towards better choices:

1. Plan Ahead and Prepare
2. Be Considerate of Others
3. Respect Farm Animals and Wildlife
4. Travel and Camp on Durable Surfaces
5. Leave What You Find
6. Dispose of Waste Properly
7. Minimise the Effects of Fire

6 day countdown is on ...
Hope you are all well and truly ready for the gathering which will be blooming next weekend in the Brookfield Farm, Nenagh, Tipperary.
Tickets are available at our website (www.permaculture.ie) and at the gates.
Looking forward to seeing you all there! Many thanks!

- Once everyone had paid (to cover the costs of the Gathering,  e.g. insurance, material, etc.-see website for details), this is a non-monetary event, non selling, so there will be no food-stalls for example. There is a swap tent for barter type exchange. All the workshops and work on site are run voluntarily.

- Workshops are facilitated through an “open space” scheme, without any formal agenda, where everybody is welcomed to offer and participate.

- The gathering is free from drugs, alcohol and pets, making it a very easy going, family friendly event.

- There is a communal meal on Saturday. Please, bring something to contribute. Food will be vegetarian. There will be cooking facilities, please bring your own food for the rest of the weekend and self-organise in small groups if you wish.

- There is a lakeshore on site. Please, be aware of the dangers of water and watch over your children. There will be designated swimming hours for children but parents are responsible for organising their own children's water play and swimming.

- This event is a leave no trace event. There will be food composting on site, all other litter that you generate from what you bring, please bring it home with you. There are no land-fill bins on site. Please, also bring away recycling items.

- Please respect the land.
Earth-care, People-care & Fair-share!
